  1. If you make up a pattern for your holy hand grenade I will be the happiest girl on Earth! You are so talented and awesome 🙂

    1. Hey, that’s a good idea! I didn’t write down the pattern as I went but I remember (more or less) what I did. When I get a chance, I’ll make a post about it!
I can tell you that the bulk of the grenade is just the 30 row ideal sphere.

  2. Oh my! I’ve finally found him! A perfect little hippo for my granddaughter who has loved hippos since she was born!!! I was sooo disappointed when there was no pattern for him…Please, please, write the tutorial for him and post it…I’d be super happy if you could possibly do it before her birthday in December, but any time sooner would be great too! (LOL) Love love your site. Your work is brilliantly beautiful – you are such a talented lady!

    1. Beautiful phgirooaphs!remtnds me to add some apples to my bird feeder. Sadly, we have a Red-Shouldered Hawk couple in the area, they do scare away the song birds. Hopefully they’ll move on soon.

  3. I picked up crochet again when I put down the food, and I just picked up amigurumi this last year. There are many really good and really bad patterns out there (free and in print). You consistently design excellent patterns, have a great eye for it. Thank you, also for the perfect sphere . . . yeah, I have to dust off what I remember from high school math, but that pattern is extraordinary.

Keep making patterns, and I hope to be able to some day see a compilation full-color book on bookstore shelves. Definitely would buy it.

    1. Thank you so much. I’m glad my amigurumis make you smile. That’s what they do for me. I am ALL for the healing powers of crochet (and crafts in general).
      🙂

  4. Could you clarify the final row in your Ideal Sphere pattern? I’m not sure what you mean by 4scdec, since that doesn’t appear exactly like that elsewhere in the pattern. I’m down to the last row, and this will make the perfect ball for my 9 month old son! Thank you!!
